Senior Night For Competitive Cheer
Justin Scott - Sports Reporter
It was a special night for LHS Senior Competitive Cheerleader Skylar Redumski. Well because she is the only senior on this year's team, so all eyes were definitely on her during the ceremony. She hopes to attend college and become a psychiatrist in the future.
It didn't take a genius to figure out the Red Arrows were excited to be performing in their home gym. A packed set of stands, parent participation, and plenty of smiles which is what makes competitive cheer such a unique and fun high school sports atmosphere. That atmosphere extends to social media as well. Teams will frequently cheer on other teams on social media, supportive comments, congratulatory comments.
Whether it was senior night or the joy of being home, Lowell had a masterful performance placing 694.46 overall. Close to the 700's which has been achieved by just a select few teams in recent team history.
On Saturday, Lowell followed up by taking 10th at the LMCCOA Scholarship Invitational at Byron Center, with rounds of 209.5, 191.4, and 266.7 respectively and a 667.34 overall.
Lowell is next in action Saturday at FHN for the North Star Invitational.
