Please note that “club sports” simply refers to any non-MHSAA sanctioned sport run organizationally and consistently at LHS. We cover these four club sports similarly to MHSAA sanctioned sports.
The highlight of the morning was Logan Bledsoe who placed third in the lightweight novice men's race. He finished seven seconds off his personal record (PR), but his third place finish earned him a medal. It was Lowell's first at the Spring Sprints in 17 years.
Lowell had five lifters earn points as the team finished tied fourth with Oxford and just six points behind second place Holly. Grandville ran away with first place thanks to 12 placing lifters.
“My favorite part of the week would have to be the energy of the whole event. You’re spending a whole week competing against the same people so during that time you make new friends and before you know it you are cheering on your own competition making the whole week memorable. We had a fun season and are excited to see what next year brings,” Hancock concluded.
“Our goal was to stay level headed and continue to play our game. We knew we were the better team, more experienced, and we just had to break their momentum and get things rolling our way,” senior outside hitter Jacob Davidson said.
