STULL

Richard Charles Stull Jr., went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2024, with family by his side. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on June 9, 1948, to Mary Lou (Dixon) and Richard Stull Sr. Rick graduated from Waverly High School in Lansing.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1970 and retired from Oldsmobile Quality Control after a 30-year career. Rick was a member of Spirit of Life Lutheran Church in Caledonia, where he was always ready to greet fellow members and newcomers alike, sharing his love for Christ and Christ’s sacrificial love for each of us. He was a skilled artist and craftsman, turning his hand at everything from watercolor to home restoration and remodeling.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He cared for all kinds of wildlife, feeding deer and turkeys in the yard at Lowell, caring for his ‘pet’ bear Babe at the Stanton property, and building bird ‘condos’. Family was very important to Rick. He enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with his family. When they were apart, he would send nightly text messages to his children, so they always knew he was thinking of them.

Rick is survived by his wife of 10 years, Carol (Clemenz) Stull; children, Richard Stull III, Mareeca Stull, Tracy (Pete) Balles, Jessica (Mike) Gretka, Cassidy Nalker, and Courtney (Nichole) Stull-Frazier; grandchildren, Cole French, Harley (Ricky) Shockley, Richard IV & Brandon Stull, Sabrina & Hans Balles, Nora, Zeke & Zane Gretka; siblings, Chuck (Gayle) Stull & Cheryl (Bill) Farnum; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Richard Sr. and Mary Lou.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 10 am-12 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Spirit of Life Lutheran Church, 7638 Broadmoor Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316, with memorial services starting at 12 pm with a luncheon to follow. Burial with military honors will take place 3:30pm at Oakwood Cemetery, 325 Fremont St, Lowell, MI 49331. Memorial contributions may be made to Spirit of Life Lutheran Church.
