VIRGIL EDWARD ROUDABUSH
Virgil Edward Roudabush, age 95 of Lowell, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2024. He passed away peacefully after a long and full life. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandfather and loyal friend. He was also very proud of his hometown of Lowell, where he lived almost his entire life. He attended Lowell High School and was very proud to have joined the United States Air Force at the age of 18. He worked at King Milling Company in Lowell for 43 years and worked his way up to Superintendent, of which he served for 15 years before retiring in 1993. He enjoyed hunting and boating and especially loved teaching his young relatives and friends to water ski. He and his wife, Carmen, lived at Murray Lake for many years after their boys finished high school. Virgil loved traveling, cruises, winters in Florida, attending Tigers spring training games and keeping in-touch with relatives, far and wide, through research of his genealogy. He enjoyed spending time making over 250 miniature wooden rocking chairs, by hand, that he gifted to his family and friends, who will continue to cherish them in his memory. He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Carmen Roudabush; son, Sam Roudabush; granddaughter-in-law, Melissa Roudabush; great-grandson, Logan Roudabush; his parents, Samuel & Matilda Roudabush; and his siblings, Laurna DeWitt, LeRoy “Hoot” Roudabush, Beulah Geldersma.
