He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Williams; mother, Alice (Curtis)Sparks; stepfather, Kenneth Sparks; brother, Kenneth ‘Clyde’ Sparks; and sister-in-law, Judy Williams.
Lou is survived by wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann (Wenzel)Williams; children, Leonard ‘Mark’ (Nicole) Williams Jr. of Lowell, Beth (Jerry) Kranz of Hastings; grandchildren, Shawn Dulin, Zach and Shelby Weston, Henry, Irene, and Gavin Williams; brothers, Al Williams of Texas, Robert (Karen) Williams of Texas; sister, Alice ‘Robin’ Mosher of Cedar Springs; and special friends Doug and Pat Ladue. Lou graduated from Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan (1963) and Davenport College (1971).
He worked as a Postal Carrier in Grandville from 1975-1983, Superintendent of Postal Operations in Grand Haven from 1983-1985, a Postmaster Hart from 1985-1994, and in Scottville from 1994 until he retired in 2005. Lou was a previous member of the Scottsville Optimist. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting and orchestra events. Lou will be greatly missed by his family.
