Lowell High School fans were given a treat to end the 2023 portion of the school year as the #1 ranked wrestling team in the state Lowell beat #6 Stevensville Lakeshore by a score of 72-6.

Students, LAS staff, and a small group of fans from Lowell and Stevensville Lakeshore packed the LHS gymnasium for the top-ten battle. Jarrett Smith got Lowell off to a fast start with a pin at 106. In a battle of the top-6 wrestlers, Cole Cichocki scored a pin to keep the momentum going. The Red Arrows ended the dual on back-to-back pins by Ari McFarland and Juan Acosta to conclude a dominating dual in an electric atmosphere complete with a DJ, spotlight, emcee, and some of the best wrestlers in the state. Lakeshore got one win, from defending state champion Brady Smith.
