Check out this week’s Ledger for a full rundown of what happened today, and thanks for following along.

3:42 - Trevor Boone (138) finishes as district runner-up falling in the finals to Zeeland East by a 5-0 decision.

3:26 - We’ll be seeing those two wrestle again for sure. Cichocki was in control most of the match, but a late reversal gives the match to Kapinga. Lowell and Hamilton (ranked 7th in D2) are both on course to match up in the regional final this week.

3:14 - Braddock King finishes runner-up at 113. Up next a state finals rematch from last year between Carter Cichocki and Kapinga of Hamilton.

3:02 - Jarrett Smith winner by default against Cole Cichocki due to a non-injury void at 106. This is sometimes done in these types of matchups between Lowell wrestlers to avoid potential injury.

2:47 - Casey Engle gets a third period pin to start Lowell off strong, winning a district title at 190.

2:30 - Introductions beginning and finals about to start. There will be 12 Red Arrows wrestling in the district championship matches, two of those matches will feature two Red Arrows.

2:03 PM - Lowell went 0 for 2 in the bloodround, but will advance a district-high 12 wrestlers to regionals. Next up, the district championship matches to see who places first and second.

1:42 PM - The Lowell Red Arrow Wrestling team got their road to Ford Field underway today at Lowell High School in the District 12-2 Individual District. To advance to Ford Field and the individual state finals held March 1st and 2nd, you must place place top four in both the district round and regional round.

12 Lowell Wrestlers thusfar have punched their tickets going undefeated and about to wrestle in the district championship match. Those are; Jarrett Smith (106), Cole Cichocki (106), Braddock King (113), Carter Cichocki (120), Logan Dawson (132), Jackson Blum (132), Trevor Boone (138), Owen Segorski (144), Tacho Gonzales (150), Jared Boone (157), Seth Harvey (165), and Casey Engle (190).
