CHARLES “CHUCK” LEE BENJAMIN
Charles “Chuck” Lee Benjamin, 89, of Lowell, Michigan, entered the presence of his Lord on June 10, 2024. He was born in Saranac, MI on January 17, 1935. Chuck married Nancy Lee Mills on March 21st, 1958, and together they raised three sons. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Nancy; parents, Lester and Beatrice (Greenhoe); sisters, Katie (Pete) Timinskis and June (Jack) Mathews. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary; children, Bryan (Marie), Doug (Marilyn), Scott (Laurie); stepchildren, Robin Weimer, Gary (Christine) Weimer, Cindy (Greg) Foster; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer (Keith) Rebisz, Ashley (Steve) Miller, Josh (Gabby) Sherman, Zach (Tiera) Sherman, Kelsey, Mitchell, Olivia, Gabriel, Austyn (Mike) McElroy, Kacie (Luke) Bowen, Alexis (Craig) Nugent, Chris Weimer; 17 great grandchildren; brother, David (Nancy); sister, Nora (Tom) Boguslaski and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Chuck was a proud Army veteran and was honorably discharged. He dedicated his entire adult life to serving his Lord and Savior through the local church being a deacon then later an elder, Awana Commander, Olympic Director, Sunday School teacher and on the building committee. He worked on overseas mission projects in Togo, West Africa, and Swaziland. Helping others in need with his construction skills along with godly counsel was in his DNA. He built houses and owned Benjamin Pools and Construction which included a Polaris snowmobile franchise. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, at South Boston Bible Church, 6958 Kyser Rd, Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral Luncheon will be at 12 pm, visitation at 1 pm, with service following at 2 pm. Pastor Cory Malone officiating.
