William “Bill” Serbenta Jr. age 87, of Lowell, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy.
William “Bill” Serbenta Jr. age 87, of Lowell, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy. Bill is survived by his children, Kimberly (Dan) Stephens, and Craig (Deanna) Serbenta; grandchildren, Zachary (Rachel) Stephens, Lucas Stephens, Jacob (Kourtney) Stephens, Ashley (Denver) Stonecheck, Nathan Stephens, Kylee Stephens, Sage (Abbey) Serbenta, Matthew Stephens, Kelsey Stephens; great-grandson, Denver James Stonecheck; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill led a remarkable life, first serving in the Marine Corps, then serving as a Deputy Sheriff for Lake County, Indiana, and excelling as a pipe fitter at General Motors and Inland Steel Manufacturing. His passion for hunting and sports was evident to all who knew him, and his enthusiasm for life was contagious. Family will greet friends and relatives from 4-7pm on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral services will be at 1pm on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Ken Ford officiating. Interment Bailey Cemetery.
