A Red Arrow great has found a new home as former Lowell Football Head Coach Noel Dean is taking over as the new varsity head football coach of Chelsea High School. Chelsea is coming off a 9-2 season and in 2021 won the state championship in division four. Chelsea is located between Jackson and Ann Arbor. Prior to taking over at Chelsea, Dean served as the head football coach at Tift County in Georgia from 2021-2023, and of course at LHS.

Coach Dean served as the varsity football coach at Lowell from 1996-2017 where he won three state championships, had three state runner-up finishes, and compiled a 219-42 record. Dean founded the Pink Arrow game in 2008, helping to jumpstart cause games across the state of Michigan, and the country. He was inducted into the LHS Wall of Fame in 2022 and the MHSFCA Hall of Fame in 2015.

We’ll have more on this in the next edition of the Lowell Ledger!
