It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bonnie C. Ward-Wiese, who left us on August 28, 2024, after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Phyllis grew up in Lowell, Michigan and attended a one-room schoolhouse on Snow Avenue. She participated in the Kent County Youth Fair for many years and went to the National Guernsey Show with her cow, Show Girl, in Waterloo, Iowa.
PAMELA JEAN APSEY WALTON/COATES
Pamela was a loving mother and Grandmother. She lived for her children . She was a 33 year employee of Amway Corporation.
KAY LYNN THORNE
Kay Lynn “Caitlin” Thorne, aged 83, of Lowell passed peacefully in her home August 1, 2024, surrounded by beautiful cards, notes, texts, and flowers from her many friends.

Marcia E. Roth, age 93 of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard; son, Martin; brothers, Vaughn Carter and Marvel Carter; sister, Glada Carter; and daughter-in-law, Ilene Roth.
EDWARD L. BARRUS
Ed was a proud World War II and Korean War Veteran. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 25, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, until discharged on January 20, 1948. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal – Japan.
ROBBIE KILTS
In his younger years Robbie enjoyed snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding, and soccer. He was musically talented as well; he played the drums and guitar. In school Robbie was very smart.
JEFFREY LYNNE PERKINS SR.
Jeffrey Lynne Perkins, Sr. passed away on July 2, 2024, in Wyoming, Michigan. Jeff was born on January 10, 1946, in Huntington, West Virginia, the son of James Paul Perkins and Ethel Mae (Martin) Yarian.
GORDON A. SHARPE
He was a great provider for his family. Gordy retired from Steelcase after 31 years. He was a member of the Lowell Moose Lodge where he enjoyed drinking a beer and talking with friends. Gordy had a huge love of fishing and would be out on his boat any chance he had.
WILLIAM “BILL” SERBENTA JR.
William “Bill” Serbenta Jr. age 87, of Lowell, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy.
CHARLES “CHUCK” LEE BENJAMIN
Chuck was a proud Army veteran and was honorably discharged. He dedicated his entire adult life to serving his Lord and Savior through the local church being a deacon then later an elder, Awana Commander, Olympic Director, Sunday School teacher and on the building committee.
GERALD “JERRY” BATCHELOR
On June 14, 2024, Gerald “Jerry” Batchelor, 80, entered through the gates of Heaven peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. In Jerry’s early years he was a shy young man that found confidence by taking up and playing the trumpet in the middle school band.

She had a vivacious spirit and was quick to offer a smile, a laugh, and a welcoming hand - traits that brought joy to all who knew her.

Bonnies enduring love for her family farm where she spent countless days working beside those she loved and with her angus cows will remain as vivid as the sunrise over the Michigan fields she so deeply adored.
